So I bought AC valhalla last night at epic sine it supports regional pricing, started downloading it and it showed around 50gb. I let it happen overnight. This morning when I woke up, I found the whole thing done and ready to be launched. As soon davi launched it, ubi connect started downloading the whole 112gb (yes, 112gb for standard edition) again at a different folder. I stopped and uninstalled it so that I can ask the community for advice. I see the game is added to my ubisoft connect account, do I just ignore epic and reinstall the whole thing using ubisoft connect ? PS: I am on PC
I thought it would work but it didn't. It also doesn't work with the ubisoft connect window. I have looked for some plugin that allows to identify windows by the executable path but I cannot find. I don't know if this is how the program is going to serve me for the purpose I wanted.
With that test if I have verified that the problem is not to identify the window but to allow it to write keepass on ubisoft connect. But ubisoft connect does allow pasting, so it would only be necessary for keepass to have an option in which it puts the data on the clipboard and pastes it later.
Open the ubisoft login screen.
Open KeePass and edit an entry.
Select the Auto-Type tab.
Click the Add button.
Click the drop down arrow to display a list of all open windows. What is the ubisoft login called?
I encountered a privilege mismatch after an initial install as a standard user. I regard this as a fault of the "RockStar Games Launcher" installer. During installation, a routine privilege elevation to a different user with administrative privileges was required. Subsequent to installation, auto-type didn't work on the login page of the "RockStar Games Launcher" unless KeePass ran as an Administrator. Uninstalling "RockStar Games Launcher" and reinstalling after temporarily changing the standard user to an administrator didn't appear to resolve the problem until the "Rockstar Game Library Service" was disabled and re-enabled. Subsequently, I discovered uninstallation of "RockStar Games Launcher" doesn't remove the service so it seems possible that this remnant of the initial install was responsible for the problems with the second install. The service can be removed with powershell.
