My Huawei Running On Android v2.3.6 can't access gmail and google playstore anymore. I deleted the pre installed Emails but everything was working fine until when I once switched the phone off and when I switches it on, anytime I open the gmail app, it shows a blank white page which doesnt last for a second. when I open playstore, they tell me to add a gmail account but when I try adding, I am sent back to the home screen. it is rooted. ia there anything I can do to make it function like before?
Thanks again for staying with this: an update, did get into Google play online using the 9 dot drop down icon menu with Google. Actually got to see apps, tried to download Facebook but says is already installed ( it shouldn't be as I factory reset the media pad) . Tried downloading an app I never had, gave option to put it on my huawei phone or the media pad. But the media pad icon is greyed over, and says ' no carrier'
You cannot use gmail without a Google account and for using an Android phone you would need a Google account. Create a Google account and follow this procedure: =en - you'll be able to save and sync contacts and send emails.
you can easily add what...@gmail.com to your phone contacts if you want the phone to memorize that address so you do not type it over and over and this is the way to go given the above. the phone does not need to know whether is is gmail or any other vendor. it is just a mail address.
if you want to add an actual gmail address to the phone and sync your contacts with that address's contacts, your whole question is different and you just need to add said address in the phone settings.
anonymous email is reserved for delivery service notifications and most servers worldwide would instantly trash anything that comes whitout a sender and does not look like one. not a chance with gmail.
