ScreenshotCaptor is a different Screenshot captor. When you say screenshot captor you think about a program that saves in a file the image you are watching on the screen, but ScreenShot Captor goes further and it includes a lot of options which make it different.

Once you have run the program, we will only have to press 'PrtScr' and an image of the captured image will be shown on screen. Then, we will be able to choose a zone of the image to capture, adjust it, rotate, change colors,...

If you're a little bit sad that the formerly popular freeware screenshot capture utility GrabClipSave has stalled development, you might be pleasantly surprised that Donationcoder has picked up the slack and released a similar program called Screenshot Captor. It can also capture the view of scrolling windows, making sure you don't miss out on important data. The program is overall extremely easy-to-use and you're able to get the captures you want with little effort, thanks to the simple design of the software download. Furthermore, Screenshot Captor can also apply various effects to the images it produces and uses very little resources, making it a non-issue to keep it running 24/7 and available for use whenever you want. Also standard with installation is full integration with the Windows Shell (Explorer) and one-click access to adding watermarks or integrating with popular image editing suites like Photoshop.Highly recommended if you're wanting something to take snapshots of what you're currently doing. Screenshot Captor, from DonationCoder, is the most powerful free screen capture tool you can download. It's thoughtfully designed and packed with options that will make your life easier, whatever you need screen grabs for.

Before you can install and use Screenshot Captor, you need to request a free key from the developer. Registering for a forum account will give you a key that's valid for six months, after which you'll need to create a new one. You can generate a lifetime code after 12 months.

If you're opposed to the idea of signing up for a forum account, DonationCoder also lets you generate a key that's renewable after 60 days. It's a strange system, but is designed to encourage users to consider making a donation.

Screenshot Captor also includes a feature-packed editing and annotation tool, which saves you the effort of opening screen grabs in a separate graphics application. You can access this by double-clicking the icon in your system tray.

The latest version of Screenshot Captor includes several new features an bug fixes. It resolves a GDI leak that sometimes caused ScreenCaptor to hang after taking thousands of captures, and adds an option in the uploader to preserve logs across runs, and copy the log to the clipboard. For a full list of all changes, see the version history on the Screenshot Captor forum.

Screenshot Captor (SC) is a feature-rich image tool for grabbing, manipulating, annotating, and sharing images. While the program is optimized for taking lots of screenshots with minimal intervention, it also includes multiple sources including games, webcams, and scanners. The program supports photo edition, watermarks, text boxes, arrows, thumbnails, hotkeys, and can export to a host of new and old formats, including sending multiple files to a PDF or animated GIF.

For screenshots, the program supports multiple monitors, is able to capture partial transparency effects, and has a powerful scrolling capture tool. Numerous tools are available to emphasize, diminish, or hide screen elements, such as highlight, blur, and cover.

Sharing is available via automatic or on-demand upload to image hosting services or sending by email. Settings menu allows detailed control of program behavior, menus, automatic functions, and even memory usage.

The good news: there's a way to capture your pdf in it's entirety.

The bad news: its a bit long winded and the pdf might not come out 100% correct!

(It's better than nothing right?)

What you have done so far is create a web server running on localhost:8888 that is able to render pdfs using JavaScript. You can view an example pdf by going to the following page: :8888/web/viewer.html?file=/examples/learning/helloworld.pdf

Alternatively, you can import a single PDF page into either Gimp or Inkscape. Importing into Inkscape has an additional benefit of being able to edit the actual page before exporting to another format.

To do so open regedit, navigate to

HKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG\Software\Fonts, item LogPixels

and change the decimal value from 96 to something lower such as 80. Then log out and back in and you will see the changes.

I'm using a value of 80 on my netbook and it is about the most that I will drop it while still keeping things (half) readable. You will notice that it really hinders the readability of fonts as well as having some strange bitmap scaling artifacts, but if you're like me and can adjust to it then the extra screen space gained is well worth it.

Before modifying the registry, export the Fonts branch as backup, and also createa system restore point. It might be a good idea to export the .reg file to the desktop when making these experiments,so be able by a simple double-click to activate it and restore the original sizes.
