I dont mind playing with console player and i really dont want to stop playing with them if if i have turn off crossplay to not want to play with mobile users, while i do appreciate having a mobile option to play and when it comes out on android i will be getting it, however honestly the only time i will really be playing it on mobile is sitting on the toilet or laying in bed etc, it wont be something i will be playing seriously like i do on PC.

I'm glad mobile users are getting the opportunity to play, but man I'm not excited to watch my team mates run into walls and/or fall off the map over and over again. Too much precision needed for this game. PC players playing with console players who don't know how to mute their mic is bearable, but mobile players who will have no mobility and are severely handicapped to PC players is going to be awful.

I think there's no reason to jump at shadows. There's a 0% chance that DE hasn't already thought of these potential problems, and given that it's a safe assumption that they don't want to hemorrhage their existing non-mobile playerbase, it's a similarly safe assumption that they have likely either determined that it won't be an issue or they are setting up infrastructure to handle it. DE may not be perfect and we as players may not always agree with their design decisions or their priorities, but what we're talking about here is such a basic and obvious concern that it would have been brought up before even green-lighting the iOS platform for development.

And to echo (XBOX)C11H22O11, there has never been a time in Warframe's history when Tenno haven't been playing on potato PC's with tin-can internet connections. So the problem itself isn't new; the only newness would potentially be an increase in the likelihood of being paired with such a player. And again, if that increase is enough to be worthy of concern, I would hazard that DE has done their due diligence.

Not surprising that some people have never seen others doing really well with touch controls. Just because I may not be good with touch controls, doesn't mean that everyone else isn't either. There's always going to be new players (maybe even long time players) who have difficulty with the game on every platform. Once they get going it becomes muscle memory. Warframe isn't a competitive shooter or extremely difficult to be good at, so idk what this whole "precision needed" argument is relating to.

If DE actually thought of these potential problems, Cross-Play would not exist plain and simple, this is why I have cross-play off and it will remain off until they realize that this was a terrible idea.

If I go into a public fissure and fall into the ground....then I unstuck and move on. If it's bad lag, I exit mission and reenter. None of this is a huge issue though unless you just need something to rant about out of boredom.

Actually on the launch livestream that was done earlier i asked reb this exact question and she replaied saying that they didnt have a seperate option for only disabling mobile crossplay and the only way would be to disable cross play completely.

With respect, you seem to be misunderstanding me; I'm not saying that DE will provide a button that lets you disable mobile cross-play; rather, I'm explaining why it seems unlikely that such an option will be needed. With that clarification, would you be willing to give my initial comment a thorough re-read? I think if you do you'll understand my rationale. I put a lot of time into the wording and the flow of those paragraphs, so I'd rather not paraphrase and risk losing important aspects of its meaning.

Yeah ever since crossplay was enabled, load times feel like 4 times longer, and there are WAY more people just moseying through a capture void fissure mission or similar. Relic cracking is like two to three times slower now. And mobile will only make that problem worse. I wish I had an option to not have my mission hosted on a phone or a Switch.

Or it would be great if all users could have the option to say 'Don't ever have me host'... Some people just have really poor internet connections or a potato or whatever to begin with. And this option would have a lot of switch, mobile, and 'last gen' console players opting out of hosting, without needing to explicitly discriminate against any particular platforms.

I am less concerned about peoples' capacity to play at a high level, and far more concerned about mobile being chosen as a host and then dropping as cell service does in America what it tends to do: stop.

I ran a disruption mission on Mars (relic cracking to be specific) and the first host left after 5 seconds (probably a network issue) and with the second one it took 15 minutes to get a single set of 10 reactant done due to the fissures just not appearing to charge enemies...and enemies themselves only appearing in clumps of about 5-6 at most.

I don't hate Nintendo but I keep telling people that Nintendo Switch has been one of the greatest scams ever sold.
Nintendo has made a killing off the console by selling folks completely out of date and archaic hardware.

The quick summary is that matchmaking uses a priority system to determine which player gets to host, and among the things that get taken into account in this priority system is your platform. Before iOS was introduced, Nintendo Switch was at the bottom of the priority list, and now iOS has been added to the queue beneath Nintendo Switch. It sounds like there are other aspects of your hardware and connection that are also taken into account when determining the host, so if you're playing on terrible PC hardware with a terrible internet connection then an iOS Tenno could theoretically be picked to host over you. All of which is simply to say, there's a system in place that already takes these concerns (and more) into account when determining hosts.

So that being the case, we can all just relax and enjoy the game. And if you do run into issues, be sure to report them in the bug/feedback forums, because that might mean you found some holes in the system that could use patching.

This only covers the host concerns poeple have brought up, it still doesnt address those of us that just simply dont want to play with mobile users, simply saying "just turn off crossplay" is not the solution, that cuts off the entire console community which in general are fine to play with, sure alot of them have their mic on nonstop but just communicating with them and they fix it.

Yes i get that some people use a controller on their mobile but that is the very low minority, and yes i know other games have cross play like genshin impact etc but those you can literally play half asleep.

And the host priority only effects when all are loading in at the same time, if a mobile user loads into a mission on their own they they are the host, ive joined thousands of games where there was already a person in there solo so its not a super low chance a mobile user could be the host.

We need the option to switch off consoles we don't want to play with, I don't want to play with Xbone players or mobile but I don't mind PS Players, this is the reason why I have cross-play disabled and when I tell anyone I do they always complain "lol guud luc gettin squads" like, I can get a full team of actual strong PC players no problem.
