ABS Team Vision for MTS 2019-2019
To bring our Tamil community together, create a transparent and sustainable platform, generate regular income, as a first step towards creating a corpus fund for a dedicated building for Metroplex Tamil Sangam. A place our DFW Tamil community will be proud for generations.
Arun Kumar Ponnusamy Community Contribution:
- Served in MTS Executive Board since 2016.
- Was instrumental in bringing in new Tamil families to MTS during 2016 Pongal event and since them introduced MTS to 1000s of Tamil families across DFW area.
- Organized Entrepreneur forum to Dallas Tamil Community in 2016.
- Played a key role in 2016 Pongal event, 2016 Tholkappiam Foundation launch, 2016 MTS Deepavali program, 2016 Entrepreneurship forum, 2016 and 2017 MTS ByLaw amendment, 2018 Pongal Program, 2018 Eid Program, 2018 FeTNA, and many other MTS programs.
- Supporting Harvard Tamil Chair program in marketing and website support since the beginning.
- Along with other core volunteers, played a major coordination role in Dallas Jallikattu Rally. One of the largest rally in the USA with 1800+ people rallied in downtown.
- With the help of others, fundraised around $12,000 from Jallikattu rally and managed to date, through this money, supported several farmers projects along with other volunteers.
- Played a key role in FeTNA 2018, Chair for TEF TALK (Tamil Entrepreneur Forum Talk) and Chair for Marketing.

- Worked in various Harvard Tamil Chair fundraising initiatives
- Worked for various social campaigns like Jallikattu protest, Organic Farming, Sterlite protest etc
- Supporting various NGO initiatives to educate and empower underprivileged children across various districts in Tamilnadu
- Key member in the Thanjai Periya Kovil 2018 FeTNA Art Work
- Coordinated in the 2018 FeTNA Event Management Committee
- Created an impact on more than 2500+ young minds through Outreach – Career Guidance Sessions
- Volunteered and worked for Chennai Book Fair various editions
- Played a vital part and worked with local bodies, villagers and restored various water bodies in Kancheepuram and Thiruvallur districts
- Volunteered, Donated and worked for 50+ Go Fund emergencies/initiatives; providing guidance to North America Tamil families during these unexpected situations
