What core values drive PLSC?
Our sworn oath as Professional Land Surveyors is to preserve and protect the health, safety and welfare of the public: those three pillars are to be held paramount over all else.
Who are our core Stakeholders?
Per above core values, our ultimate Stakeholders are the public at-large, who put their trust and faith in us as licensed/registered professionals to perform our duties to the utmost of our ability, fairly and ethically (without prejudice or bias).
What change do we want to bring about through PLSC?
We are always seeking to reference recent legislation and employ the latest technology, while continuing to honor the methods and follow in the footsteps of those that came before.
Where do we see PLSC in 5-15 years?
Pursuant to the core values, I (we) see PLSC as an exceptional organizational body through which to compile research, coordinate resources, preserve/protect knowledge, and serve the greater public good through adoption and execution of the strongest standards of practice available. Through the continued support of our members, PLSC will become one of the premier occupational organizations in the nation, and an outstanding example of what our chosen profession can (and should) forever be.
What else is important?
I (we) wish to emphasize the importance of attracting the next generation of up-and-coming surveyors, starting as young as middle/high school: educating them about the influence that our profession has in developing this great country into what it is today, and preserving that legacy that came before while also moving forward for generations to come. As the saying goes: possession is 9/10 of the law, and "...they ain't makin' no more land..." ...
I welcome any and all feedback.
If you have any questions, comments, concerns, etc. please feel free to let me know and I will do what I can to address them.
Thank you.
