Hi all,

I'm learning Phoenix Theory for steno. Overall the Phoenix Theory dictionary is playing well with Plover, but I'm running into a roadblock with some of the capitalization commands.

In Phoenix Theory, there are several different strokes for capitalizing words *after* you've stroked them:

KPUN = capitalize previous word (I've defined this as "{*-|}" in Plover and now it works great)

KPAO = capitalize previous two words (how would I define this in Plover?)

KPOI = capitalize previous three words (how would I define this in Plover?)

Is this even possible to do? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Hi ...

You should be able to do that using the "Cap Last Word" command as the definition for your KP-UPB stroke, like so: {*-|}

Unfortunately, I don't think there is any support for capitalizing more than one previous word -- yet.

I had to dig that one out from here:

Hope that helps a bit ...

Thanks, Glen! I now have the "Cap Last Word" function working, but it sounds like it may not be possible to "Cap Last 2 Words" or "Cap Last 3 Words" in Plover (at least not yet, as you said!). Perhaps I'll fiddle around with creating some sort of macro to do that someday... or more likely I'll just live without that functionality :)

Hope y'alls' summer is going well!
