Numbers?

Hi folks,

I'm brand new to Plover and steno. It's my second day practicing. The lesson I'm doing shows 5 as number bar + a. However when I'm doing that with Plover, I'm seeing # A not a 5.

Poked around and didn't see anything related. What am I missing?

What are you using for the keyboard?

I have an Asterisk keyboard and both # bars + A result in a 5. The
Asterisk speaks Gemini PR.

I have a Stenoob set to Gemini PR. It seems to be working; I added the tapey-tape plug in and when I open that document, I see 5 there instead of * A.

I thought I'd see that 5 on the paper tape but it's not there and I'm only seeing the steno.

Also, the blue line on the paper tape is confusing me too. I can't figure out how it jumps back to lines way up the paper tape, preventing me from seeing what I'm typing in real time.
