Downloading Plover

I'm in hopes of someone guiding me through downloading Plover.  I'm just not that smart, apparently, and am having a hard time of it.

Here is our getting started guide:


If you need more help, it's useful for us to know:

- Operating System (Windows?)
- Steno machine you have and what cord it is using to connect to the computer
- Your level of knowledge of steno

 Thanks very much.... I appreciate your quick response and help.  I clicked on "Download" and clicked on "Enable"....but, now what?  I'm sorry for being such a dummy at this!

I do have a question, though.  Can you use your own briefs for word and phrases...make your own dictionary?

Yes, you can edit the dictionary with the dictionary editor (see configuration/dictionaries)

The commands dictionary has `TK*UPT` mapped to {PLOVER:ADD_TRANSLATION} which is a box that lets you add a stroke and translation. It'll go, by default, into the "bottom" dictionary (user.json)

If you have another dictionary from another program, you can use it by exporting it to RTF format and then opening it in Plover.
