Hello:

Sometimes I use Stream Text with a Stentura 300 (Italian version,
connected to a com port). I have to send text through a window, but
this makes the app to be very slow and, to avoid this situation,
someone has to reconnect it while I'm typing each certain time, for
example 40 minutes. I had the same issue with a proprietary software
named Winsteno, and a fellow who contacts with stenographers of other
companies which work with us for some srvices say that some programs
have the ability to send text via TCP.
Is there such ability for Plover or using any plugin?
Please, see this webpage for more details

https://streamtext.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/210923083-Installing-Updating-and-using-the-StreamText-Net-Connector

Luckily my employer has an own platform where this ploblem is not
happening, but some customers prefer we to use StreamText.

Thanks

Argh. Yeah, this is a problem. I use the old version of Streamtext Connector, which works perfectly, but the new version has that problem you mentioned where the output gradually starts lagging until it's reset. Extremely annoying. They tried to send me a version without the lag problem, but that one garbled the spacing! So right now I only have one computer with the old version on it, which I can't install on the new computer because the installation certificate has been revoked or something of the sort. Streamtext has promised to fix the problem, but it's been months. If you write them and say that you need to use Plover with Streamtext also, perhaps they'll bump the solution up to a higher priority level!! Good luck!!!

Oh, many thanks!
I had two versions of StreamText installed on the computer of my job,
but some kind of issue makes it to stop working or something, and then
technicians uninstalled the old version too.
I'll contact StreamText developers saying that I need the program to
work with Plover.
Cheers

I noticed the same thing, and gritted.  Plover is a WYSIWYG that is immediate, when writing to any platform, including writing to ZOOM directly, when "assigned to type" (what an odd phrase for what  we do!).  Nevertheless, hoping that StreamText will fix this problem (if still exists this December 2021) (I rarely use StreamText these days). Love to know if the issue is resolved, for the rare occasion I do use it.
