 Hi everybody

Some weeks ago Stan publish his Spanish dictionary on GitHub and I am doing some work to extend it looking to make Plover alternative to do steno in Spanish

Stan dictionaries are at:
https://github.com/stanographer/steno-dictionaries

I am mostly writing some syllabic chords for words that are not actually on the Spanish dictionary and I actually add some accented letters for finger spelling besides organizing the types of chords on five dictionaries.
The dictionaries I working on are at:
https://github.com/humus/stenorepo

I'm really excited to help to build a great Spanish dictionary and to document the theory that Stan started for using Plover in Spanish

So, if you want to try the dictionaries I'm working on, just clone the repo and configure the dictionaries like this:

Also, if you want to help me to build the Spanish dictionary feel free to fork, send pull requests or to ask me to add you to the repo or even ask me to join to another repo.

Meanwhile, I would be adding words and will be trying to document the theory on my GitHub repo

 Have fun!

I don't suppose there's a way to convert those .json dictionaries to .rtf, is there? I have yet to find a decent .json --> .rtf converter for the Mac.

Humus, I applaud your efforts.

Glen, conversion will be included in Plover one day, I swear!

Although, not for Spanish, as RTF doesn't support Unicode symbols in its current encoding. Not sure what kind of hacks Eclipse performs to get symbol support in ANSI.

Can confirm. Any match to an entry with accented characters will crash Plover.

This is great! I have finally wrapped up a big project that has kept me away from Plover/steno, but I'll be diving into this and hopefully be able to help as much as possible. I corresponded with Stan a while back about the possibility of Spanish steno on Plover, so I'm excited to see this happening.
