Thanks again for a 1st Class stay at the Broadwater Guest House. Rooms are amazing with amazing little touches, and a fantastic host in David & his assistant. Nothing is too much trouble for him. Breakfasts are out of this world with a great range & choices. A must for anyone going to Morecambe and very reasonably priced. We have stayed here a few times and will definitely be back. The sunsets across Morecambe Bay and out towards the Lakeland hills are world famous and The Craigwell Hotel is the perfect place to sit, relax and enjoy these views, either from the comfort of your own room or in the guest house lounge whilst meeting new friends.
We care about Morecambe Bay and as part of our environmental policy we use specialist, environmentally friendly cleaning products throughout, as well as recycling everything we possibly can.We are members of the Green Tourism Business Scheme.
If during your stay at The Craigwell you plan on going exploring Morecambe, The Lake District or further afield we are happy to make up packed lunches to take with you, simply arrange with us at least the day before and we'll have it ready.
We pride ourselves on the quality of our food and endeavour to use fair trade products wherever possible. All our prices include bed and breakfast and we always offer a choice and variety of dishes every morning. All our meals are cooked to order to ensure they're always fresh.
Morecambe is a seaside town in the City of Lancaster, Lancashire, England. It contains 43 buildings that are recorded in the National Heritage List for England as designated listed buildings. Of these, two are at Grade II*, the middle grade, and the others are at Grade II, the lowest grade. The town originated as a small fishing village called Poulton, and started to be used as a resort towards the end of the 18th century. It expanded during the 19th century, particularly following the arrival of the railway in 1850. The town was officially renamed Morecambe in 1889.[1]
The older listed buildings include some of those surviving from the earliest village, and include some former farmhouses and farm buildings that have been absorbed by the growing town. There is a seafront terrace of varied houses dating from the early to mid-19th century. Later listed buildings include public buildings, churches, two railway stations that have been converted into other uses, public houses, a theatre, a hotel, a former school, a clock tower, and a war memorial.
Rest assured, you will always find a warm welcome at The Berkeley Licensed bed and breakfast on Morecambe's promenade. Under the personal supervision of Mal and Colette Neill since 2010, guests can enjoy this small family-run, family-friendly licensed guesthouse. We are a non-smoking establishment.
Ideally situated on the West Promenade with a fine panoramic view of Morecambe Bay and the Lakeland Hills and some of the best sunsets in the UK, The Berkeley B&B makes a superb base for exploring the Lake District as well as the city of Lancaster and Morecambe itself. Historic Lancaster is a short 10 minute drive away or quicker by train.
Personal care and consideration is given to ensure the highest standard of hospitality and accommodation. Excellent home-cooking from local produce is the basis to the preparation of our breakfasts, and the proprietors pride themselves on making your stay in Morecambe a memorable one.
All twelve bedrooms at The Berkeley B&B are en-suite with electric showers and the rooms are all centrally heated for your personal comfort. There are also freeview T.V.'s, hair dryers and coffee making facilities in each room. Family rooms are equipped with T.V./DVD combi's.
The Berkeley B&B features a separate television lounge for guests use, with a large bay window overlooking Morecambe bay or why not try a drink in our attractive licensed bar with its selection of beers and spirits. Alternatively, try the night entertainment of Morecambe - keys are provided to the bedroom and front door so guests have access to the hotel at all times.

Only 15 minutes drive from the M6 on the northern edge of Morecamble Bay, a ten minute drive will take you to the shores of Lake Windermere and a further ten minutes to Bowness and then on to Hawkshead. Only a mile from the National Park, if you are visiting to the Lakes to walk or cycle there are some excellent routes straight out of our door, including access to Brown Robin Nature Reserve from the hotel gardens.
Grange over Sands is in itself a pretty town to explore, retaining its Edwardian hey day charm, stroll the promenade and explore the charming independent shops and cafes, only a few minutes walk from the hotel.
