Morecambe is a seaside town in the City of Lancaster, Lancashire, England. It contains 43 buildings that are recorded in the National Heritage List for England as designated listed buildings. Of these, two are at Grade II*, the middle grade, and the others are at Grade II, the lowest grade. The town originated as a small fishing village called Poulton, and started to be used as a resort towards the end of the 18th century. It expanded during the 19th century, particularly following the arrival of the railway in 1850. The town was officially renamed Morecambe in 1889.[1]
The older listed buildings include some of those surviving from the earliest village, and include some former farmhouses and farm buildings that have been absorbed by the growing town. There is a seafront terrace of varied houses dating from the early to mid-19th century. Later listed buildings include public buildings, churches, two railway stations that have been converted into other uses, public houses, a theatre, a hotel, a former school, a clock tower, and a war memorial.

As many people know, buying or selling a house can be a trying experience even when the transaction goes relatively smoothly. A trek around Estate Agents, followed by a visit to the solicitors and the flurry of paperwork that follows can be time-consuming and tiring.
R&B Estate Agents continue to offer exceptional service to home sellers and buyers alike. At the heart of all of this is our purpose, to challenge the perceptions of the industry with the R&B personal touch.

When you choose to work with us, you really are working with the best of the best. We have been recently awarded the top award in our industry at the EA Masters. This award is based on 3 key areas. Marketing, Service and Results.
Marketing. Every single property listing on Rightmove is individually assessed over a 6 month period. Agents' websites are assessed including their social media marketing. Client reviews are also taken into consideration.
Every single estate agent that advertises on Rightmove is automatically entered. That is over 15,000 different companies and 22,000 individual offices.. Less than 1% of agents in the UK achieved a double-gold status. This means they are ranked as gold-standard agents in both sales and lettings.
For the 2nd year running we took home the top award. The 2-minute video to the side shows the moment when it was announced that we had won again. No agent ever has won this award twice. The odds of doing so are 225,000,000 to 1! This is the only award in our industry that no agent pays to enter, hence its superior credibility.
My name is John Gallagher and I'm the MD of your local property specialists in Lancaster and Morecambe. You might already know us. After all, we have been selling and letting houses locally for over 30 years. Our team live local. Their children go to the local schools. They shop in the local stores and walk their dogs along the promenade and in the parks. Just like you probably do. They also know the local area, inside out!
As the founder and hands on owner, I'm extremely proud of the team we have here at JDG. They hold the same belief that I do, that people come first. We focus on you, the customer. We believe that when you get the customer service right, the sales will naturally follow. Of course there is much more to it than that, as you'll soon discover.
