Many of you know that we've been hard at work on a new website for Public Lab, and today I want to announce that we're ready to launch an open beta of the new site. Thanks to Enrique Piraces, who donated the domain name, the new site is available at the much-shorter PublicLab.org

You can log in with your existing PublicLaboratory.org username and start using it today:

Hello all -- just an update -- if you are interested in providing input and suggestions (even at this relatively late stage) on the new website, please join the Alpha Tester list here:

Though the group's name is now out of date (alpha/beta), it's still a great place to get involved in shaping the new site.

Also, I wanted to shout out to Bryan Bonvallet who's been putting in a lot of volunteer time implementing features on the new site -- even learning a new framework (Ruby on Rails) to participate. His baby has been the new "Like" and subscription system:

Thanks again! Use the new site!! :-)

Jeff
