Hi Public,

I came across your repository plots2 on github help-wanted and noticed it could benefit from an architectural diagram to help onboard new contributors to your codebase.

I worked as a software engineer at Amazon and have struggled with the friction of understanding codebases quickly before I can make a contribution. I think this friction is what's stopping developers from contributing to codebases, especially to open source ones like plots2. I am trying to solve this issue with a tool I built called CodeCanvas (docs.code-canvas.com). CodeCanvas visualizes a codebase and links the diagram elements to the actual source code.
You can then use the GPT tab to ask questions. GPT then retrieves only the needed context from the diagram, this has given CodeCanvas users much better results than tools like copilot due to the correct context passed from the diagram.

I have started a private beta where I will build the codecanvas diagram myself for 10 repositories, I think plots2 is a good candidate. If this sounds useful, feel free to schedule a call with me through: docs.code-canvas.com or reply to this email.

Looking forward to chatting with you :)

Best,
Nasser
