Hi Friends,

As you have surely seen, code.google.com is shutting down [1]. I just disabled the issue tracker on code.google.com/p/plotinum, and I would like to import the issues to gonum/plot. The script that uploads the issues does it one-by-one and comment-by-comment. This will likely create a lot of email spam for those following the repo. I would like to do the import tomorrow during the day (US eastern time). So, if you want to avoid the spam, please set up filters or temporarily mark the project as ignored on github.

I will ping this thread before I start and again once the upload is complete.

Let me know if there are any objections.

I am going to start this now. I'll be away from my computer for much of the day while it runs, but I'll mail this thread tonight with the outcome.

The script aborted because it hit a github rate limit (which it is supposed to avoid, but apparently the exact limit is undocumented). I peeked through the code and it appears that I can restart it and have it pick up where it left off. I am going to try that. Wish me luck. If it doesn't work then I'll clean up the mess by hand tonight.

One last piece of spam. It appears that I am going to be the author of all imported issue comments. It's unfortunate that it doesn't even put the original commenter's name in the text, but I guess it'll suffice.

I haven't had a second to look at my computer since starting the import, and I won't until this afternoon, but I'm fairly certain it's done.

Feel free to assign yourself to whatever you want and start hacking. Also, feel free to close obsolete issues (do we have heat maps now? What is the pt package? It has an awful name, so I'm suspicious of whatever I thought it would be.)

Enjoy.

I finally just checked. I handful didn't import because the rate limit. They'll be done within a few hours.
