Hi,

we are having some crashes while using plotprojects in our app. Can you help us with this?

The crash has happened several times on a Huawei Y635 L01 with Android 4.4.4

The related log is attached:

Hi Fernando,

We haven't seen this exception before. Strange that it points to com.optimizely.Assets.OptimizelyAssets$CacheRemoteAssetsTask, as we don't have any dependency on Optimizely.

Could you provide information that could help us debug the issue? If you don't want to share this online you could mail this directly to me.

Is this error only seen at specific devices? Was it introduced at a certain update of your app and the libraries you use?

Kind regards,
Mark van der Tol

Hi Mark,

sounds strange to me also, because I didn't think Optimizely was related to plotproject. We are using plotproject version 1.11.0.

The error only happens on a Huawei Y635 L01 with Android 4.4.4 (at the time being) but several times.

Best regards.

Hi Fernando,

Thank you for your reply. If the error comes from a single device there may be some data corruption at that device causing this strange error. I find it hard to come up with things that could cause this issue, especially because it is only happening on a single device model. IllegalAccessErrors are very uncommon, since normally the compiler already enforces the Java class access rules.

I'm sorry I cannot give more details. When you have more information that could identify the cause, please let us know.

Kind regards,
