Hi Greetings, any one has any updates on Profitable Plots?

the company was closed down about a decade ago but i believe they still own the land at Heathrow.

Occasionally i get some (probably scam calls) to buy my titles  -  but first i have to pay some fees ....

Hello,
Any new planning changes allowing individual build schemes (timber houses/ temporary buildings/movable), could be helpful.
Any pointers in this regard from any plot owners who may have pursued this route and put their land to some use??

Please do share, collectively we stand a better chance given the new Govt. policy shift and the growing demand for increased housing.

Thanks

If someone who is good with technology on this group could set up a shared spreadsheet so that we can plot who owns what and where, that would be a good start.

Then we can look at which MPs to get in touch with or any other relevant bodies.

Every local authority must have some self build opportunities, typically where the land owner provides serviceable plots, i.e roads, drainage and utility connections. You can check / register on the relevant planning authority portal.

My advice to anyone with a plot would be to speak to a local planning company, take professional advice.  They shouldn't charge much to advise on planning potential.

Don't waste your time with temporary/movable structures, you'll end up wasting money and dealing with enforcement officers.

Respectfully, you're wasting your efforts if you think any MP is going to endorse planning applications.  You need to speak to planning committee members and planning departments.  Needs to be dealt with using a planning consultant who can advise during any pre-app and consultation process.

Not expecting MPs to get planning permission as that's a completely different thing.

It's about getting some weight behind us before we even get to planning.  This is a very large group of people that have been affected and nobody knows about us.  How was H&G allowed to get away with this in the first place and only end up with a slap on the wrist.

Sure, ofcourse!!
Temporary/movable structures may only be classed as such for planning purposes, all again as per approvals only.
For example a caravan or a container home etc...or even Eco-friendly Pre-fabricated homes - scandinavian/Baltic style)

No intention to grab any undue attention from the enforcement teams. Not at all worth it to do anything without approvals.
Again just a brainstorm of ideas.

Thanks

I have a plot at Finchampstead - bought from UKLI. If anyone has further updates or information on that then please contact me. I believe Vortal Homes had tried to sort something but they did not manage to progress per my last update.
