REACTIVATE - RENEWED CALL FOR HOUSE BUILDING IN THE UK!

Hi all,

This has not been an active group. But the new Labour Government in the UK has prioritised house building in the UK with less restrictions on Green Belt sites. 

This means that there is, at last, genuine reasons for optimism that we can potentially recoup our money in land-investments. Burt for this, now is the time to re-activate our collective efforts, and approach local councils and and national government for assiatance.

In one WhatsApp chat group that I belong to, we are writing a letter concerning UKLI lands.

I have other plots of land and would welcome group actions on these different sites.

But it needs collective response from all concerned -- in this group! Please respond asap.

Funds have been locked for long without recourse

Any ideas what is the small print regarding these Greenfield sites conversion. From the outset it may seem promising but every area/region and the local planning teams seem to have their own veto.

The dubious team were called Property Spy plc, and our sites in Bucks, Kent and Solihull

I am glad that there has been some responses -- but I was hoping for more. In the UKLI chat group we have 69 members so far. I would like a similar number here.

So let's wait for a few more days and see how many people want to join ship. Then we can get a core group going and make a strategy or follow the path of the UKLI group.

Can you explain what you mean by "Funds have been locked for long without recourse"? What funds are you referring to?

In the mean time, is there a way that we can send everyone in this Plot-Owners group a personal email informing them of the new initiative -- or do these posts go to their personal emails anyway?

First, forgive this direct emailing but for some reason by posts on PLOT-Owner after my initial one have not appeared, so I am doing direct emailing till further notice – but keep a watch on Plot-Owners. (I could not identify or contact the group owners/managers.)

 

For the moment, there is nothing to say other than thank you for your interest and hopefully we can take it forward very soon.

 

In my WhatsApp UKLI chat group, we have 69 members – we may choose to go the same route. But for now, let’s wait a few more days and build up our numbers – I am hoping for 50 or more. In the meantime, you can forward this email to any one whom I have left out, or to anyone you know who might be interested to join. Then we can have a chat about strategy and collective action – we already have a template with the UKLI chat group.

 

Please do not reply to this email just yet – it will just clog up my mailbox. It is understood that you have expressed interest in this matter. That is enough for now – I’ll get back to you after we have a few more members later in the week (we currently have 20).

It's not gonna work. Ages ago I left my story on this group. Dozens of people contacted me and then came a fraudster cheating guy who collected the donations from dozens of people and when I exposed him he created their private group and excluded me even though I also paid £25 which was an initial registration fee. He promised everyone that he will bring this company to the court I I believe he allegedly collected quite a few thousand pounds and ran away with money. I had a plot in saffron Walden plot number

Thanks for this note, Rao. Sad – but fraudsters are a fact of life.

 

We’ll make it a principle that money will be exchanged between us. If financing is needed, we will raise it from crowd funding. We have a good case for it. That is one of the issues that I want to raise when this gets going.

 

So, don’t lose heart – rejoin the group which has been reactivated – I have posted an initial strategy today. Please review asap.

Dear All,

As a very active property developer (and plot owner), can I make a suggestion.  You need to engage with specialist strategic land promotors (plenty available) who will fund planning promotion and applications in return for a percentage of land value once and if consent is achieved.  No point spending good money after bad and leave it to those that know and understand policy. Large scale planning applications are inordinately expensive and challenging.  

Writing letters is all well and good but they need to be in support of an application with a view to achieving  potential site allocation. All stake holders need to be engaged on a site by site basis. 

If you happen to hold a stand alone plot, not being part of a bigger scheme, then you can always approach the relevant local authority for guidance.
