Aguide to the Chapter Portal Inventory section. This is a quick and easy way for your chapter to maintain an ongoing inventory of your beds, quilts/blankets/comforters, mattresses, bedding in a bag, pillowcases and sheets.
You can use the same Build Day QR Code that is already on the Dashboard. The URL has been updated to take people to the walk-in sign up page already! And the
bit.ly/shpvolunteers will take people there as well.
Yes! Separate Chapter Presidents Report (CPR) will go away and you will come to the Chapter Portal to mark how many beds built at an event. You will now update the number of beds built on the shifts screen in the portal.
Right now the only email that is sent through the system is the sign up confirmation. That is on our list for future updates, but currently you cannot. You will need to contact your volunteers the way you are doing it now.
Any student who has taken a course in Family and Consumer Sciences, or as determined by the state department of education, middle school through grade 12 is eligible for active membership in an organized FCCLA chapter within their school. Once the state and national dues are paid, the student will be an official affiliated member. Teachers can join FCCLA too! Teachers certified to teach Family and Consumer Sciences education, or as determined by the state department of education, can serve as the FCCLA chapter adviser.
FCCLA's Adviser Kit is designed to support both new and returning advisers in their journey toward leading a successful FCCLA Chapter. This robust kit offers valuable resources that will help you understand the benefits of affiliation and seamlessly integrate them into your Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) classroom.
For any inquiries about locating resources, starting an FCCLA chapter, or navigating the FCCLA Portal or FCCLA Student Portal, please contact
membe...@fcclainc.org. We are here to assist you every step of the way.
Joining FCCLA begins with chapter affiliation, an essential step for all chapters. To ensure uninterrupted access to valuable resources in the FCCLA Portal, chapters must complete the affiliation process before the designated deadlines each year.
If you're a new chapter adviser, click on the "First Time Chapter Affiliation" button to request a new chapter in the system. Once your state adviser approves the request, you will receive login credentials, allowing you to affiliate your students.
Recently, a system generated email went out to all members providing the link to the student portal and notifying each member of their membership ID and temporary password. Advisers will be able to resend this welcome email through the FCCLA portal in the event a member did not receive the email, the email address on file needs to be updated, or if the welcome email needs to be resent to the updated email address. Members can visit the student portal by clicking FCCLA Student Portal under Resources at the top of this page.
Your chapter can also play a vital role in bringing hot topics and discussion that greatly affects how we report about our local communities. Now more than ever, the goal is to successfully bring transparency and fair journalism to the general public.
Interested groups desiring to obtain an NAHJ chapter must apply for affiliate status with one of two naming options. The group's name may be either: NAHJ-[city, state or region] or [city, state or region] Association of Hispanic Journalists (for professional chapters) and NAHJ-[college or university] or [college or university] Association of NAHJ Journalists (for student chapters).
You must be a student member, advisor, or academic member to be affiliated with a student chapter.
NOTE: Once a chapter earns affiliate status, it must complete and submit an annual chapter audit to the national office to keep affiliate status. [You can find this document on the chapter leaders' resources page.]
You can influence public policy. Advocacy happens in many different ways, but at its core advocacy is about raising awareness, building and leveraging relationships, and educating others around the issues and policies that matter to you.
Chapters contribute invaluably to our comprehensive prevention efforts, providing state-level expertise and resources and ultimately amplifying our work widely in communities nationwide. They work in tandem with a wide array of community partners to deliver valuable day-to-day prevention work, including the formulation of innovative strategies to address issues such as child sexual abuse, raising awareness for the prevention of child abuse and neglect, and advocating with state and local governments to ensure that there is funding available for programs designed to benefit children and families. Use the map below to find the PCA America state chapter nearest you:
Chapters provide leadership in promoting and delivering effective prevention programs, such as Connections Matter and Circle of Parents. They also help facilitate community-level networking and learning opportunities.
Chapters raise public awareness and engagement, localizing national campaigns, such as National Child Abuse Prevention Month (April) and Pinwheels for Prevention, and maintaining a consistent brand identity and messaging across the nation.
Welcome to the DECA Registration System, your portal to help manage your chapter's membership. Make your chapter's membership official by submitting your members in DECA's online membership system and paying their dues.

Our office is committed to financial transparency and requires that chapters submit the Finance & Facility Form each semester. That data is then compiled and shared on our Fiance & Facility Information webpage.
General assignment classrooms can be reserved through the Office of the Registrar at no cost to registered student organizations. Any student organization that has been registered and authorized through the Student Leadership, Involvement, and Community Engagement (SLiCE) office (click here for registered organizations) may reserve academic classrooms for meetings, study sessions, seminars, etc., based upon availability.
Lory Student Center (LSC) reservations are made through the Event Planning Office. Many meeting rooms may be reserved in the Lory Student Center at no cost to registered student organizations. Some larger meeting rooms and large event spaces in the Lory Student Center can be reserved for a fee. For more information about LSC room reservations and costs, please click here.
This program has a rolling application period. Chapters and their members are eligible for a variety of benefits, listed below. Join the chapter network today and multiply the possibilities for your growth in optics and photonics.
Traveling Lecturers
Did you know that Optica has a list of nearly 1,000 professionals who are open to traveling to your univeristy to share their expertise with you? Chapters can tap into this list and invite one (or sometimes two) lecturers each year at no cost to the the chapter. That's right, Optica covers loding and transportation for the lectures (up to $1,500) - what a benefit! Lecturers can also attend conferences virtually and will instead receive an honorarium of $400.
Student Leadership Experience
Each year, students are invited to attend our annual meeting, Frontiers in Optics (FiO). As part of the technical conference, students are supported with special sessions focused on professional development for career advancement. Students complete an application process, but those selected have their transportation, lodging, and conference fee covered by Optica. While this benefit is open to all student members, those affiliated with student chapters receive additional weight during the application process.
Mentor Match
Let us pair you with an early-career professional who can serve as a dedicated mentor for a period of six months. During that time, you and your mentor will build a battleplan for addressing some of your most important concerns. You can provide feedback in real-time so if your mentor pairing isn't working we'll try to rectify it if possible.
