Meetup Administrator Account

Hi everyone

As most of you probably know, I will be moving to Germany next year.

The last three years I was in SA were filled with many PloneSA highlights.
My favourite highlight was the sprint we had in the beginning of this year, but
I also thoroughly enjoyed all the regular meetups we had.

I just received an email from Meetup.com about my credit card that's expiring.
They want me to renew my account as the administrator account for PloneSA.

For the last three years I've been paying the meetup.com subscription fees, but
now since I'll be going away, I think its also a good time to hand over this
responsibility.

The fees are about R800 a year if I remember correctly. Someone can offer to
sponsor this or the money could be pooled. Perhaps this is also a good time to
reflect and decide whether meetup.com meets PloneSA's needs. For the record, I
like it and think it does.

Whatever happens, someone else will have to be give their credit card details.

I am currently not in SA and I do not exactly know when I will be back in town again.. but I think it is safe to say that for the next few months I wont be around to attend any PloneSA meetups.

Thanks for the heads-up and the fact that you have sponsored the
meetup account. There are some other free/freemium options, like
bigtent, etc. I will post some links and we can discuss in the forum.

Personally, I like meetup, so I'm willing to pitch in to keep it
going. If you can find a viable alternative, I'll be interested.

JC, I'm not sure about the process of transferring the billing for
meetup to another person, I'll see if I can figure it out...

I think I have to assign the full administrator role to the person who'll pay.
I did the same for the Helderberg devs group.
