Title: Wireless Network Engineer
Location: NYC, NY
Roles and Responsibilities:
Expert in Cisco Wireless, Develop wireless network infrastructures and make recommendations on systems design, enhancements and optimization
Diplomatic resolution of client wireless connectivity issues
To communicate effectively and efficiently within the team and across business lines to support incident resolution.
Escalate issues affecting delivery of service to management in a timely manner
Understand and manage the requirements of being part of a 24x7 on-call operation, including but not limited to, shift hand-over, operational advice, guidance, support and escalation
Understand the scope, delivery mechanisms and processes of all Services delivered by Managed Services
Execution of the Managed Services business plan and strategies relating to Engineering.
Proven ability to work well under pressure with time sensitive constraints.
I. Technical expertise:
Core R&S, Nexus & Meraki Wireless network, Wan Optimization: Riverbed or any other tool etc.Excellent Comm skills.. they need a vocal person. some exp on running small projects individually..
Basic VPN & Firewall
a. Thorough knowledge at expert level of LAN technologies (switches, routers, wireless and firewalls) including centralized monitoring and management in large-scale, high- availability environments;
b. Advanced knowledge of large scale LAN/WAN switching and routing implementation and operation with specific knowledge of VLAN, VPN networking;
c. Knowledge of QoS and LAN traffic management techniques;
d. Thorough knowledge of IT infrastructure, TCP/IP, networking and information system security principles, practices and technologies;
e. Understanding of core Internet routing protocols and services;
II. Leadership and management skills: demonstrated ability to lead a team, providing clear direction, motivating staff, managing their performance appropriately and fairly, and dealing with possible conflicts.
