We had friends over on Sunday afternoon. They are interested in a web
site because he is an artist and he'd like to have a gallery where he
could show off his paintings. We started talking about web sites and the
software that runs them. They said that the software they have tried so
far is either too inflexible or too complicated, so I started telling
them about Plone.
So I spent most of the evening explaining what is Open Source Software,
and why is it free, and how do Plone companies make money, an on and on...
Couldn't we get together and come up with a short explanation for this
stuff so I can have people over to my house again?
I'm willing to collaborate if some marketing-savvy people could join in.
Please help,

Several elevator speeches were attempted at the Strategic Planning
Summit. I thought they were blogged, but the plan is very much to
publish them on plone.org.

I knew that people had talked about this, but when I googled for plone
elevator speech I came empty. I thought I'd bring it up here in an
effort to get people to submit text or links that could be useful to the
community.
Thanks,
