Please pass this feedback to <jonstahl> who suggested this document, just to let him know that I followed his suggestions :o)

Couldn’t find Jon’s email anywhere to cc this message.

More information about Repozo can be found in Backing up FileStorage files on Zope's website. The repozo.py script can be found in the bin directory of your Zope software installation. It contains an informative docstring about its command line options.

A product that may come in handy is PloneMaintenance. You can use this to automatically pack the database from time to time. You can configure it, for example, to pack the database every night before the system backup script runs on your server. In this way, you'll get a safe daily backup of the database (assuming the system backup is guaranteed to run after the database has been packed).

Plone Maintenance  is not found in PyPi and seems not to have been updated since 2007.

I sent it on to Jon.

Hi Michael!  :)  Will I see you in SF?  And are you working now with intranets?  Email me separately….

Hi Michael!

I'm actually on the plone-docs list... thanks, glad to hear it helped!
And yes, it is due for some updates (collective.recipe.backup is
probably much more useful than the obsolete PloneMaintenance). I'll
try to update it.
