Hi everyone,

I'm trying to convert a VCF file to plink format and keep the dosage information in the new-generated plink binary file. Is it possible that I could save dosage information in plink1 binary format (i.e., .bed, .bim, .fam)? Or is plink 2 binary format (i.e., .pgen, .pvar, .psam) the only format that can store dosage in PLINK?
It seems Oxford format can keep dosage and plink1.x can create this format files, right? Which format in PLINK can keep dosage when converting VCF files?

Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

plink 1.x binary cannot store dosage; .pgen format is required for this.
