Dear Friends,
Since my emails to developers (sh...@pngu.mgh.harvard.educhrc...@alumni.caltech.edupl...@chgr.mgh.harvard.edushaun....@mssm.edu) didnot get any attention (the delivery to the emails failed), can anyone please help me with my following question?
1. I want to convert the Plink binary format (.bed, .bim and .fam) to flat file format (.ped and .map).
2. I also want to apply filter option to get data only for selected genotypes/individuals.
I am using PLINK v1.07
Thank you very much in advance.
Regards,
Prasad

To convert binary format into flat format, just use the --recode flag
When it comes to filtering samples and markers, the related flags are --keep/--remove --extract/--exclude.
Everything is perfectly explained on the Plink website, and includes working examples, please have a look!
I also suggest you to move to a newer version of Plink which will be way faster than v1.07
