Issue downloading plink on Mac for use in Term

I am trying to use plink on my Mac but once I have downloaded and copied the plink file to Applications and call it on the terminal, it doesn't recognise it? I wonder if there are any tips on how to do this?

I am having the same issue on windows, I download the exe file and then when I go to run it nothing happens.

Stephanie: plink is a command-line program, not an "app". Just like on non-Mac systems, you need to put plink in one of the directories listed in the PATH environment variable.
