I am completely new to Amazon EC2 so...

I did:

sudo yum install -y gcc gcc-c++ libstdc++ gcc-gfortran glibc glibc-devel make blas-devel lapack lapack-devel atlas-devel

sudo yum install svn

svn co https://github.com/chrchang/plink-ng/trunk plink-svn

cd plink-svn

./plink_first_compile

Things went well until:
In file included from /usr/include/features.h:399:0,
                 from /usr/include/stdio.h:27,
                 from plink_common.h:6,
                 from plink.c:19:
/usr/include/gnu/stubs.h:7:27: fatal error: gnu/stubs-32.h: No such file or directory
 # include <gnu/stubs-32.h>
                           ^
compilation terminated.

Worked around issue by downloading the zip of the latest development build src. This compiled fine.

Yes, the Makefile in Github is really just intended for my Mac and Win64 build machines; Makefile.std is the one that gets packaged with all the source downloads.  I'll add a remark about this on Github.
