Hi,

I tried to run pLink-SS on Windows 10 with the test data (http://pfind.ict.ac.cn/download/pLink/2014/Data-SS-MGF.rar). However, once I ran the flow.exe, it crashed in step 1 with the error information:

step 1: search
directory: C:\pLink\SS\Specific\1.sample\search
Failed to run normal search: [Error 2] The system cannot find the file specified: 'C:\\pLink\\SS\\Specific\\1.sample\\search\\SS1_qry.proteins.txt'

With the same data, I reran the search on another computer with Windows 7, everything looks normal:

step 1: search
directory: C:\pLink\SS\Specific\1.sample\search
last modified time: Tue Nov 14 15:45:52 2017
running time: 1202.1 (s)

end time: Tue Nov 14 15:46:12 2017
total running time: 1212.3 (s)

The .ini file I used is attached. Is there anyone has idea how to fix this issue? Thanks!

I figured it out: I guess pLink-SS is not compatible with HyperThread technique on Intel CPU, so when you specify the number of processors in the .ini, do not exceed the number of physical cores.
