Plings Selecta

Hi All

I am currently working on a new application to grab a data feed and
allow people to manipulate it into the output they prefer - The Plings
Selecta. The basic concept is that someone specifies their area and
timeframe and are then presented with a list of activities which they
can select and add to their own custom feed.

Once they have created their feed they can view it in (currently) XML/
RSS/Atom formats and order it either by Activity ID or Venue ID (there
are likely to be additions to the ordering options). The long term
goal is that once you have created your custom feed you will be able
to plug it into other tools to allow PDF outputs or other.

The current version of the selecta can be found at http://selecta.elasticeye.org.uk
but is very much a work in progress however I would appreciate any
useability feedback people can offer. I will try to deal with anything
that comes up as and when I can however it may take me a couple of
days to action things as I am doing this on top of my working week.

Additionally at the moment feeds are not stored permenantly as I am
occassionally flushing the database of information so if your feed
happens to disappear that will be why!
