If you make a call for Activities as XML you now get some additional
data returned as part of the 'Provider' data set:
<!ELEMENT network (name, website?)>
<!ELEMENT name (#PCDATA)>
<!ELEMENT website (#PCDATA)>
The dtd has been updated to reflect this, and this is also documented
at:
http://www.plings.info/wiki/index.php/Plings_Output_API
The idea of the 'network' is that it is the 'top' body responsible for
other organisations data. So for example a Local Authority might be a
network that 'vouches' for a number of activity providers in their
area.
Some developers may provide data simply for one small organisation,
and they may be part of the wider network. Other developers will
provided data for all organisations within a network.
As such the 'network' could be the people with the API key, but not
necessarily. In the recent data pushing activity, in general, Local
Authority (departments) have been set as the network.
It's not easy to explain, but if you check your data, then hopefully
it makes sense!
Cheers
