New People!!

Hello Everyone!

I'd like to welcome the new kids to the best club in town. We are the People's Liberated Knitting Front and we night for shits and giggles. As I mentioned to most of you at activities night, we will be meeting this monday (ie, tomorrow) at the Broadway Cheesecake Co. on the corner of President Kennedy and University in front of the McGill metro exit.

 

We'll just be going over some introductory club things, as well as maybe setting a date for a "learn to knit" workshop. If you can't attend tomorrow but you'd like to participate in said workshop, just shoot me an e-mail! I won't be able to stay more than 30 minutes tomorrow since I'm about to embark on one of the worst weeks of my life :)

As always, everyone is welcome to drop by the meetings any time. There's no attendence or anything like that. You can always drop by with questions and we're always happy to teach anyone how to knit, even if its not a workshop!!!

I hope to see new faces :)

Hey Michele!

I'm not much more informed than you are about the whole knitting process but I actually did look around a bit for the supplies.... There is this nice place on St Catherine, about 5 min walk from Mcgill main campus, its called Fabricville, they have..well, fabric, but also needles and yarn. They have choice and I am probably going to buy needles from there. I am still looking for some(cheap) yarn, not of a crazy good quality necessarily.

I will bring some yarn and knitting needles to the workshop, more details about that to come soon!

Also zellers is liquidating everything and they have a pretty good selection of knitting stuff! Check it out! Its at atwater metro in the alexis nihon mall.
