Hey everyone!!
I'm hoping this gets sent to you all because, to be honest, I have no idea how to work a listserve or whatever and Steph might still have it set up on her account but it's fine. Someone reply and tell me if this works.
On that note, after this email, I'm going to be switching things over to Facebook because it's easier for everyone to communicate there and be able to add themselves or remove themselves from the group! So if you still want to be a part of this club or,
at least, receive the notices about it, head on over there! Here's the link:

On THAT note, there are some things we need to discuss.
- I (Corinne) have been named the president this year as our past leader, Steph, graduated at the end of last year (congrats again!). I am also the only solid member of the club, judging by attendance last year - by solid, I mean that I came almost every
week. I cannot run this club if I am going to be the only person showing up to the meetings on a somewhat regular basis so please let me know if any of you are interested and would actually be willing to attend most weeks. We can work on finding a time that
suits as many people as possible!
- Remember that, to be a member of the club, you do not need to know how to knit. I am merely a beginner, myself. I know how to knit and purl and follow a very basic pattern and I know the basics of crocheting. So I can teach you those things! Please don't
turn away from this club if your only concern is not knowing how to knit. We can learn together!
- The universe has decided to throw another twist our way - our designated meeting spot for the past few years, Broadway Cheesecake, has sadly been closed. Therefore, I'm looking for a new place where we can all meet up. If any of you know of any places,
let me know! Here are some criteria: (a) it must be free admission (b) it must have room for many people, preferably sitting together, without having to like...make a reservation or something (c) it is not mandatory but it would be nice if it was another
kind of cafe or restaurant or whatever so that we can eat or drink while we knit (d) it must be relatively close to campus (e) preferably, there would be wifi so that we can work or look up patterns or whatever
Anyway, I know that's a lot for the first message of the year. Sorry to bombard you like this!! Please join the Facebook group if you are interested in keeping this group running. Otherwise, we may have to forgo this year. :(
Thanks guys and have a great start to the school year!
Happy Knitting :)
