Beendown this rabbit hole ? I simply want transfer songs onto my terrific iPod classic , from Amazon music or even Apple music , without using a worthless 3rd party app like Tunelf , which won't work anyway. HELP
Let's begin with some basics in order to clear up the obvious (to me) misunderstandings. Ignoring anyone's preferences or bias towards any term I use here, it's important that everyone understands what is meant by a specific term (or word) but so far, that isn't happening. So let's try the following definitions to see whether it helps:
If you drag the Amazon .mp3 file into Apple Music it will appear in the listing there. Songs purchased from the iTunes/Apple Music Store will appear there automatically. Then you can sync your iPod either with the entire song list or with a playlist.
Tracks purchased from Amazon should be in .mp3 format, and will add to iTunes/Music and sync to an iPod. If you're talking about content from a subscription service like Apple Music these will contain DRM and will only play in authenticated apps/devices.
If you are subscribing to Apple Music+ you can stream or download songs, but you cannot copy them or move them to another device since this would defeat the point of their being on subscription. This means that you can download them again to an iPod Touch but you cannot move them to any other iPod.
I've bought albums from Amazon music, though it was some time back, and didn't have any difficulties with it. I probably did it with the Amazon Music app, and as I remember it offers you the choice of downloading directly to iTunes or to the Desktop (or your Downloads folder).
No need to end your Amazon Music subscription. Here, AudFree Amazon Music Converter can help you fix this issue well. It can download Amazon Music to local computer and convert Amazon Music to MP3, FLAC, WAV, etc.
After that, you can easily listen to Amazon Music on all devices and players. No need to be locked into using their respective apps/music players anymore.
Amazon Music downloads are not DRM-free... They are encrypted with unique codecs.
But once you've purchased the song or album from Amazon Music, you'll be able to download the DRM-free files.
Anyway, if you don't want to buy the songs, just use an Amazon Music converter (like DumpMedia) to remove DRM from these tracks.

DRM stands for Digital Rights Management, which is a technology used to restrict the use of digital content such as music, videos, and ebooks. If you subscribe only to Apple Music, all "Matched" tracks will only be available in the Apple Music DRM-protected format. If you subscribe to iTunes Match (by itself or in addition to Apple Music), all "Matched" tracks will be available in the iTunes Store DRM-free format. DRM-restricted content can sometimes be a bit of a hassle, as it may limit your ability to use the content in certain ways or on certain devices.
If you want to play Apple Music songs on MP3 players and non-Apple devices without an iTunes Match subscription. All you need is to remove DRM from Apple Music files and convert them to MP3 format. There you need an Apple Music Converter, Nothing is better than AmusicSoft Apple Music Converter. But this program is for personal use only.
I create playlists on Amazon music. Then using the 955 Solar I go to Browse > My Music > Playlists and select the playlist I want to download to my watch. It will then connect to Wi-Fi and proceed to sync Amazon music for a while. Some playlists work fine on my watch using this method but some playlists appear but they are completely empty and have no songs in them. Playing the same playlist on Amazon music via the computer is completely fine. Does anyone know how to fix this?
Talked to customer service. Apparently Amazon made a change and you can only get your play lists if you subscribe to Amazon Unlimited Music. Garmin failed to notify the customers of this change so we get to find out when our playlists are gone. If you have Prime Music you can't upload your curated play lists any longer...............Bait and switch from Garmin about being able to upload playlists. Guess they just want to sell more watches but can't negotiate with Amazon on behalf of the runners.
Thanks jumpers411. That solved the mystery. Disappointing. I already subscribe to Apple Music so don't want to subscribe to Amazon Unlimited or Spotify. Guess I'll just listen to the Amazon random stuff.
