Losing access to our Gmail account can be a distressing experience, as it hampers your ability to connect with contacts and access important emails and data.

And sometimes, the situation becomes even more complex when you encounter difficulties in reaching the phone number or recovery email associated with your account. But you can skip the freak out phase!


Add a phone number and recovery email to your Google account to avoid future password recovery troubles. If you have similar problems in the future, restoring access to your report will be simpler, thanks to these extra recovery alternatives. Take these steps:


To add another level of protection during the password recovery procedure, Google allows users to create security questions. You may more quickly authenticate your identity and obtain access to your account by providing accurate answers to these questions.


Your Gmail account has an additional degree of protection thanks to two-factor authentication. When signing in, you must provide your password and a second verification number if you use 2FA. This code is usually created by an authenticator app or transmitted by SMS to your mobile device. The extra authentication step that 2FA demands makes it far more difficult for unauthorized users to access your account.


Ensure the recovery email address and phone number linked to your Gmail account are current and correct. If you forget your password, you may use these recovery alternatives to get back into your account. Check and update your contact information in your Google account settings often to make sure it is accurate.


Never share or keep your password in a location where it is readily accessible. Use a password manager, which securely saves your passwords and enables you to create and maintain robust, individual passwords for several accounts. Password managers provide access to an encrypted vault where you may store your passwords, offering additional security against unwanted access.

I haven't used my range extender for a whlie, and when I plugged it back in to use downstairs, I realized I completely forgot almost everything required to log in. I didn't know the email, password, or security questions, and when I tried to factory reset it and use "admin" and "password" to log in, that didn't work too. How do I get back into my extender?


An accurate and up-to-date email address, and/or phone number ensure you never lose access to your X account. There are a few ways to change your password, and keeping this information up to date simplifies resetting your account or password.

Same for me. Turns out I used oauth instead of email+password and completely forgot about that. So, after dozens of attempts to recover my password I sign up with google account and the problem was solved.


Same was happening to me guys. Make sure to try signing in THROUGH google, not by typing in your email address. This was the issue for me, as when I tried to send password to email there would be no response because I never set up a password, just signed in through google. Good luck.


The registered email address is no longer in use so I cannot reset my password. When I create a new account and try to register my serial number I get a message that the device is already connected to another account.


Hello, I have emailed you directly about your access to creating cases in Hive Community, and about our options for getting you back in to your HiveManager. To summarize the latter point, if you can provide the serial number of your AP, I can either get you back in to your original HiveManager or we can get that AP freed up to add to the new HiveManager, which ever works best for you.


I work for an MSP and we exclusively deploy Aerohive APs for our clients. Some time back, probably over a year ago, we had a training session with a rep from Aerohive, and were each given an AP122 to use as a lab device during training, and then it was given to us personally to keep, along with a 3 year HiveManager subscription. I have mine at home, and love it, but i just acquired a second AP122 and want to add it to my network, but I cannot remember my hivemanager account details at all. I've tried every address i can think of, but they are either not associated with hivemanager, or they are already in use for work-related tests and VHMs.


How can i regain access to my personal AP122, and/or my Hivemanager account? I guess i'd prefer to have access to the account, and then add the new AP to it, ,since i already had my network policy exactly how I wanted it.


Once you have received the two-step login email from Bitwarden, you should have all you need then to login to your vault. Unfortunately, if you have no access to the email, you will be unable to access your vault without it. Hopefully, you have saved your two-step recovery code or made a backup of your vault, as recommended. I hope you are able to gain access back into your account.


Outside of BW area, but perhaps you can go about the process of recovering your EMAIL account from the provider. Most companies have a mechanism for recovering a lost email access. Trying to help here.


My wife still uses her old btconnect.com email, from the time when we had a btconnect service, but she cannot remember the password. It is hard-wired on her computer and therefore she has access to her emails on the Desktop. However she would like to put the emails onto her iPad. How can we get the email password reset? I have tried to log into my BT.com account. My account keeps cycling asking me to log into the email acccount, I enter the userid and password and I get the message "You're not currently logged in to email - to login, click here" If I click on the "click here" link I get the email login page so I enter the details again and the cycle repeats. All we want to do is reset my wife's password so that she can continue to use her email on a new device.


Sorry to hear you are having these issues - this could be a glitch more than anything (also worth trying another browser if you haven't already just to rule out a browser issue). I have tried the link "livechat team here", unfortunately it takes me a form. I am assuming that BT do care about the account. I guess we will have set-up a new email account and try to get mail route there!


Are you able to log into the BT Business Account at all with your password? This is where you can change your security details. If not, can you privately message me your account details and I can have a look into it for you.


I am struggling, I changed my password on my btconnect.com email address and cannot get microsoft to recognise it. As a result I cannot now access my emails for that address. I have tried various options but with little success so any help would be gratefully received. This was originally a bt business account but I have been on that site too to try to find out what is going wrong. Many thanks and Kind Regards, R Suthers


to change your password for your btconnect.com email address, go to secure.business.bt.com. You then enter your email address into the box provided and click "i've forgotten my password" this will take you through the reset journey.


Ok, so I bought the upgraded version a while back (5 years ago?) and have always had this on my laptop (always signed in). I just got a new computer and realized that my original login email is too old from a previous employer that no emails are being forwarded to my new email address. Of course I forgot the old password, so is there any way I can recover it? If I try to reset it, it sends an email to the old email address that doesnt work anymore. I still have dropbox working on my laptop and it does have my secondary email address on there, but no way for me to forward anything over to it. I'd hate to have to download everyfile onto a memory card, delete this account and start over, but maybe that's the only way??? Anything else I can try???
