การปาฐกถาธรรมครั้งนี้เป็นส่วนหนึ่งในงานบำเพ็ญกุศลอุทิศถวายเป็นพระราชกุศลแด่สมเด็จพระปิยมหาราช เพื่อน้อมรำลึก ๑๐๐ ปี วันสวรรคต ร.๕ ซึ่งมีกำหนดการดังนี้

๑๐.๓๐ น. ถวายภัตตาหารเพล
๑๒.๓๐ น. ปาฐกถาพิเศษ โดยพระธรรมโกศาจารย์ อธิการบดี มหาวิทยาลัยมหาจุฬาลงกรณราชวิทยาลัย
๑๔.๓๐ น. ปาฐกถาธรรมหัวข้อ “ศิลปะแห่งการตื่นรู้” (เปลี่ยนจากหัวข้อเดิม“สันติคือหนทาง”) โดยพระอาจารย์ ติช นัท ฮันห์
