1.) Water can move among three phases - solid, liquid, and gas.
A.) How does the movement of water molecules change when water goes from solid ice to liquid?
ANSWER:WHEN WATER GOES SOLID (FREEZES), THE MOLECULES GET " LOCKED" TOGETHER TO FORM THE SOLID PHASE. THESE MOLECULES CAN'T MOVE AROUND LIKE THEY CAN IN LIQUID WATER BECAUSE THEY ARE INTERCONNECTED AND IMMOBILE WITHIN THE LATTICE. MOST SOLIDS EXHIBIT THE PROPERTY OF ATOMIC OR MOLECULAR IMMOBILITY, THROUGH IT IS POSSIBLE FOR SOME MATERIALS TO DIFFUSE INTO OR OUT OF SOLID STRUCTURE.
B.) How does the movement of water molecules change when water goes from liquid to gas?
ANSWER: THE MOVEMENT OF WATER MOLECULES INCREASES AS THE INTER MOLECULES DISTANCE BETWEEN THE MOLECULES IS INCREASED.

2.) What two characteristics of Earth allow liquid water to exist?
-GRAVITY (SO IT DOESN'T FLOAT AWAY)
-TEMPERATURE (NOT TOO HOT OR COLD)

3.) TURN IN PAPER COPY SINCE IT HAD TO BE DRAWN.

4.) What steps of the water cycle cause rainy weather conditions? Use the terms evaporation, condensation, saturation, and precipitation in your explanation.
ANSWER: FIRST IS EVAPORATION. THEN IT TURNS INTO CLOUDS, IF THE CLOUDS HAVE ENOUGH WATER IN THEM, AND IT'S NOT UNDER FREEZING TEMPERATURE(32*F,00*C) OR TOO HOT IT WILL RAIN IN THAT AREA.

5.) Recreate the water cycle in the comfort of your own home: Fill a glass with warm water. Fill a second glass with cold water, and add a few ice cubes.
A.) What does the outside of the glass with the ice cubes feel like?
ANSWER: IT FEELS LIKE ICE AND A GLASS.
B.) What caused this change?
ANSWER: THE GLASS FILLED WITH COLD WATER AND ICE CUBES FELT COLD ON THE OUTSIDE AS WELL.
C.) Why didn't the same thing happen to the glass filled with warm water?
ANSWER: THE WARM WATER FLOATS.
