Hi Iwona,
Thanks for sharing this!
I find some of the terms infuriating, regardless whether we will decide to do it or not.
This is a sum of my whatsapp comments.
45 hours/week are going to end all CPD for the participants and are insulting as human beings. There is a 22.5 hours/week option which looks decent, but will they try to force us to change it? That seems the general tone of the letter, with all its rhetorics.
We would be asked to work nights.
No clear breaks.
All responsibility for child safety, policies, procedures etc. , would be the crèche's, without control on the setting. Wow.
Management will have to manage parents' craziness and do all the Garda Vetting all over again and pay insurance. How does your insurance cover a house setting on which you have no control?
Most of all, we will have no insurance cover for anything related to Covid19. No surprise there, if one knows how insurance works. But still...
And the answer to parents re: cleaning the house is creepily vague. Sure thing I would require clear and strict boundaries to this, as in "no cleaning if not after children's mess". I know well how it ends otherwise...
Plus, what would be the cost for the setting, having to manage all this?
It is paid well apparently, but would you be able to pay the "recommended" wages and not go underwater?
It smells quite fishy. There is also a 75% cutoff to how much you can earn compared to the expected 2020 revenue, including the scheme we are on. Over that you lose the right to receive tgis money. It sounds narrow and dangerous, but you know those matters better than me.
I'd rather spend 45 hours a week doing CPD and preparing the best experience ever for children when we reopen. That's our job, not nannying for dynasties of doctors who can already afford a governess 😉
It all looks like propaganda.
Can't wait to hear your own take on it
Hugs
Anna
