Hi Iwona,

Thanks for talking to me earlier. I have attached some resources to target he/she with R that might be useful to add to yours. Some helpful ideas to learn pronouns that you may already be doing are the following:

·         Talk about ‘he’ and ‘she’ in relation to boys and girls around him, that we use ‘he’ for boys and ‘she’ for girls. Try to use the pronouns in everyday conversation e.g. ‘Look at John. He is playing with the blocks’.

·         Using miniatures or pictures of girls/boys, ask him to find all the ‘she’ and sort them in one section and all the ‘he’ in another section. Model use of it as he sorts them e.g. She is small, he has yellow trousers etc.

·         Ask him questions where the answer is ‘she does’ or ‘he does’. For example, set up a picnic with a girl and boy puppet and ask ‘What wants juice?’ and the answer is ‘He does’ or ‘She does’.

·         I have two books attached with ‘he’ and ‘she’ sentences. You can use these as books or print them out smaller and use in a picture matching game where you name what the person is doing using he/she.

Thanks,

Sheila
