Hi,

If you are contributing, please follow these guidelines : 

1) Create a github issue

2) Clone the yalp project in you own account

3) Create a feature branch, and name it GH-<issue number>, so for example, gh-1

4) Do your stuff, and create a pull request

Have you thought about the using of a formatter and the usage of checkstyle and something like FindBugs? Specially with git I find a formatter very useful. Unfortunately I don't know a good, free commandline-tool. Eclipse -Formatter is one solution but eclipse-specific. JIndent is a better solution but not free :-(
