Hi Vik,

1) it does not store session information on the server - there is a cookie only, so no sticky sessions are required.

2) the login information is stored in a signed cookie. Cookies are always bound to a domain, so that why it doesn't pick it up (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTTP_cookie#Domain_and_Path)
