I'd like to know if will be profitable to write a play 2 netbeans plugin and if I can charged... let's say 10 dollars.

Any other plugin the community would be willing to pay for?

I would like to make some money doing what I like :)

Regards,
PH

I’d pay for a good Eclipse plugin :). Developing Play sucks IDE-wise. We’re a small three person shop but we’d gladly pay a 1,000 bucks annually for a usable development environment.

What's wrong with the current Play plugin, besides for issues with Eclipse?

If it's good my company would pay up to 50 € per Developer (we are 3 yet).

I didn't use play on eclipse, so I don't know what's wrong with it. I just like Netbeans and would like to pay my taxes writing plugins ;)

What features do you think guys will be more helpful?

I was thinking about the followings:

* CRUD code generator for slick (For Rest API and Scala templates)
* Autocomplete in routes and build.sbt files and syntax color customization
* and some more are not yet defined...

Currently there doesn't need to many features, just correct highlighting and autocompletion for everything (PlayJava and PlayScala), everything else isn't needed at the beginning.

Hi everyone,

Some days ago I released the "Pleasure": NetBeans Play Framework Plugin

Free - 30 days evaluation period.

25 dollars at year.

Most Important Features:
 * Create, run, debug and test your app directly in the IDE
* Routes files support
* Scala Template support
* Dependency Management
* Test Single File
* SBT file minimal support
* Configurations (Formatting indentation, syntax coloring, port to use, activator parameters, etc.)
* Support play version from 2.3.x and above

What do you think about it?
