I was able to setup https with fake cert in dev and deployed.

With https.port=9001

i typed "https://localhost:9001" in browser, I can access my webapp with no error message

However, If I typed "http://localhost:9001" or "localhost:9001" , It just throws me an error on log. And the browser didnt render anything/

Let me Clarify My question,

Is that Play doesnt  Automatically handle  the redirection  from http to https?

Play WS does not support STARTTLS right now, no.
