It looks really bad,

"Get play, the new Eco-friendly detergent from your washing machine"

Seriously, it's too bright and bold fonts are not helping.
The play logo shows #87C459 at its top. Use this darker color rather than the #6DAE38 you have today.

What do you guys think ?

Agree, colors is to bright.

Agreed. Worse than the bold words, I find the light-green text particularly hard to read on a white background.

We will check that. Actually the colors look great on our computers
(mostly mac screens), but I must admit that on some screens the colors
are too bright.

Same here - I had to highlight all the text on the screen to read the links!

Hi everyone,

Can you tell-me if one of these attached screenshots is more readable ?

I actually found a bug in webkit during development process, which has been corrected lately. This bug was changing the color profiles when css3 transformations was used in the layout and I think that my "improvements" to correct this bug manually had bad side effects.

I'm working on it.

Regards.

Maybe just a little more subdued? Something like the Mint website,  http://www.haveamint.com/

The attached screenshots are much more readable. They were taken on OSX it looks like?? Note that OSX Renders fonts significantly "fatter" than windows generally does, so what may look nice and clear on OSX may look thin and hard to make out on windows.

Those screenshots do look clearer.  On my windows 7/chrome box the type face is rendered much thinner making it harder to distinguish than shown there as Haoyi Li says.

Honestly, the old page is much more readable to me:

home page: OLD vs. NEW

document:  OLD vs NEW

The colors, specifically the green links on white, are really bad.
Every time I visit the new docs it feels like a css file containing
the real background didn't load.

Also noticed this, and instantly went back to the play20 wiki.
It's truly harder to read the docs with the current style,
and the fixed position header steals a good chunk of screen.
Other than that... good work, nice to have the version switch and api links at hand (i'm used to the wiki, don't know the old docs)

Although the new theme does not look terrible on my Ubuntu, the green on white is not the easiest to read. The API browser is very sexy however

Links is almost readable for me, maybe a little darker would be fine.
I have tested on MacOS and on ArchLinux and color are almost the same.

But I think the problem is more about font-face than color: as Brian said "On my windows 7/chrome box the type face is rendered much thinner making it harder to distinguish" - same on Linux.

The green links are barely, barely legible for me on Chrome/Kubuntu if I squint.  I also have to highlight them to read them.

Even worse, many buttons have text grossly misaligned and spilling out the side -- see the top right buttons in the screenshot...
