I am playing around with play and was looking around for plugins that i might need.

securesocial plugin looks like something that would suit my needs. But, is there a version that compatible with 2.0 ?

And how do i find any plugins for 2.0 . There is no plugins portal/page yet.

thanks
Arun

SecureSocial 2 is in development at the moment.

For other Play 2 modules, you can find a list at https://github.com/playframework/Play20/wiki/Modules

Thanks for the reference. I am comfortable with Java and have been working with  Scala for about a month now. But, I have only limited familiarity with OAuth or frontend development. I am just starting to experiment with Play. I also found this a little helpful. It hints to having to wait for 2.1 release to have securesocial working.

As things are now with play 2.0. I am trying to figure something out how much effort it would to take to integrate say Google as an OAuth provider to a web app I want to build. Any pointers would be great.

thanks
Arun

<bump to top>

What are people using for authentication until 2.1?

What is the schedule for 2.1?

Jorge - are you still planning to release sometime this week? Also, will SecureSocial provide the capability to import contacts from Yahoo and Google?

Thanks,
MG
