Error: undefined symbol: sam_itr_query

I have installed Platypus_0.8.1 but it was not working when running python Platypus.py --help.

Here is the error information:

ImportError: /home/bioinformatics/Documents/NGS-analysis/Platypus_0.8.1/htslibWrapper.so: undefined symbol: sam_itr_query

I have tried different version of hstlib1.1, 1.3 and 1.6. But none of them worked. I'm using Ubuntu 14.04 LTS system.

Any ideas about this trouble shooting will be greatly appreciated.
