Fingers crossed that nothing else happens again

Alrighty guys,

I think things should have settled down a little now - RL's been utter crap the last two months. I had a friend who got in a car accident and was unconscious for a while but woke up until they had to rush him into surgery for something they'd missed in their original scans only for him to not wake up from the anaesthetic. Then he did wake up, only to die a few days later.

On top of that, I've been frantically job hunting as I was rapidly running out of funds, and basically all my spare internet time was spent on that or keeping in touch with family and friends. However, I have been offered and accepted an Au pair position in the States, so things have calmed down a bit (apart from the need to fill out visa applications and whatnot) and I seem to have some muse back so let's see if we can get this kick started again.

Also, what's there to do in Illinois? Anyone?
