National Plastic Bag Free Day

Hi

New to this group so forgive me if I've missed anything. My local
Environmental Action Team is very interested in the National Plastic
Bag Free Day effort. a) How far has this got? b) is the aim to set a
calendar date for this day now so that we can all call for the same
date to be set, or is that up to national government to decide? c)
how can I synchronise my local efforts (Council etc.) with those of
other groups.

Any copies of letters sent to councils etc would be gratefully
received.
