Apologies for this late invitation (below) but there may still be a
few places left at this celebration / launch in Richmond. If you're
interested and would like to come along, please reply direct to
nic...@greeneruponthames.org - giving her your name and your
affilation for the guest list / your badge. Greener Upon Thames is
keen to make alliances across London and would be very happy to meet
other campaigners on Thursday - or some other time.

You are invited to the Bingham Hotel in Richmond at 7.30pm on 21
January to hear how residents of Kew, Barnes, Sheen, Richmond, Ham and
Kingston have cut down on their plastic bag habit and got local
traders on board.

Join us for a glass of wine at a beautiful riverside location and hear
from marine expert Dr Richard Thompson of Plymouth University, Zac
Goldsmith and Susan Kramer. Find out what you can do to make this
happen where you live - from Notting Hill to Chiswick and Twickenham.
The event will include an exhibition of work by local artists who will
donate some of the profits to support Greener Upon Thames.

Greener upon Thames is a community driven campaign to reduce plastic
bag usage in the Richmond upon Thames area, to pressure our government
for an outright ban or levy on plastic bags, and to promote education
and awareness about plastic bags, excess packaging and the impact of
our throwaway society to our children.

The campaign has the support of local community organisations,
schools, over 500 shops and thousands of residents.

Be the change you want to see and help more London boroughs kick the
bag habit.
