Oceans Day in Sac

Hello SF Surfriders -

Is anyone interested in Oceans Day in Sacramento - April 9?  It is a big event that is being organized across multiple organizations (i.e. San Diego Coast Keepers, Ocean Conservancy, Surfrider National).  This is a similar group that we collaborated with for KILL THE DRILL.

There is a team that is organizing multiple things to make this day a success.  It would be great to have representation from our chapter on this team.  For example, the team is working with me to get the PLASTIC WAVE to Sacramento.  Yes, we want to get Arnold barrelled by plastic.  "Hasta la vista plastique!".

Is anyone interested in being the lead for our chapter for this event?

The group of organizations working on this event is a powerful tool that we can use.  One of Darin's goals for the chapter this year is to better leverage and collaborate with other ocean/environmental organizations.  This even is a great opportunity to get to know them and set a stage for future partnering.
