Yo John,
You kick ass. I've started a similar group on facebook called "The
Sovereign Fleet" geared toward folk who are willing to be hands on. I
myself am poised to go visit the gyre in person leaving within the
next few days. I'll bring back as much soup as I can carry and attempt
to distill plastic from the water using passive solar on the deck of
my ship. I'd like to try do do the same by electrolysis when I get
back to land. Check out Rich Sundance Owen if you haven't allready
and his hawaii based cleanup round table. Networking is key at this
stage of the game and there are a lot of heads on it. I know folks
who should be able to help getting us the big ships and I know rich is
on that mission too. In the mean time, I'm a man of action and am
headed off to sea so will likely be out of touch for a few weeks.
